New admin control panel

Doesn’t affect most of you, but I upgraded the control panel for the admins to McMyAdmin2.

Asking for input

The ‘main world’, “World”. … I’d say 90+% of it was built with either creative/give or items from a person with those abilities.

What do you guys think of making it full on creative?

Every time someone signs up for the server, they get confused. I’m confused, and have a hard time describing what the server is to newcomers.

I’d rather say we are a multi-world server with a little of everything: creative, survival, etc. etc. etc.

New Spawn / Entry world

World Void has been created. It is pretty empty right now. This will be the entryway into the server for new players.

What type of server entrance should we have? Examples of each world they can teleport to? A wall of signs of rules and commands and stuff (*I hate these). A stupid maze or something they have to follow?

Any ideas, minecrafters?

Server Merger

A private server I have maintaining, fazedcraft, has merged it’s userbase and wolrds with waygroovys. You will see new Admins, Members and worlds. Same rules apply as before.

Server Statistics

Since the server started the biome terrain map that is our current main world, on 28 January 2011, We have the following:

2,223 dat files in /world/players (visitors and members total)
274 Members, Donors, Mods, Admins total together

217 Members
27 Donors
20 Mods
10 Admins

Of the 50 donors to the server,

Of the 2,223 users, 295 logged in within the last 25 hours (due to hushwood, likely) and of those 295 less than a dozen were prior members or visitors.

Of those near 300 visitors only 5 membership applications were posted. One was deleted (i’m assuming because approved based on chat), one was denied, and I personally added 2 new members that did not apply. Based on chat logs, a total of 5 new members were added in this 24 hour period. Of the near 300 visitors, only 2 visitors were banned, 1 guy from the dynmap chat was ip-banned, and one prior member was banned.

Hushwood got up to 1249 points by the time of this post, coming very close to beating Beat This! which is currently at 1271 points.

Of the 50 or so donations a total of 454.44 has been donated, with server costs of total 812.98, putting my out of pocket expenses for the server for the year plus (Jan 15 2011 to Aug 15 2012) at 358.54 or $17.93 a month. This does not include any costs for survivocolypse or donations made to or from fazed, nor does it include any donations between now and mid August.

Both are currently set up as survival only worlds. Donors/mods/admins shouldn’t even give themselves items.
